Suşehri

Suşehri lies in north-eastern Sivas, at the transition point between the Black Sea and Central Anatolian climates, and is the province's third-largest district by population. Known in antiquity as Nicopolis and later as Endires, it was the site of the 1243 Battle of Kösedağ between Seljuk and Mongol forces; the kemençe, zurna and horon culture of the Black Sea lives on here too.
