Türkoğlu is a district on flat land 23 km from the centre of Kahramanmaraş province. The area has around 7,000 years of settlement history; formerly called Eloğlu, it took its current name in 1960 on the recommendation of Prime Minister Adnan Menderes. The district was affected by the 2023 earthquakes and some buildings may be under repair.
