Hayrabolu

Hayrabolu, in the Ergene basin of Tekirdağ's Thracian territory, is one of Thrace's oldest settlements, once known as Chariupolis. The area first came under Ottoman control in 1358 and permanently in 1368 under Murad I; the 1419 Paşa Mosque, built before the conquest of İstanbul, and the Hasan Bey Mosque, built between 1486 and 1499, are the district's oldest structures.
