South of Çamlıhemşin, between the valleys formed by the Fırtına and Hala streams, Pokut Plateau sits at 2,032 metres near the treeline, 15 km from the district centre. Known for its rich biodiversity as well as its distinctive vernacular architecture, some of its timber highland houses operate as guesthouses.
