Fethiye, ancient Telmessos, is one of the liveliest towns on the Lycian coast. Rock-cut tombs, the abandoned village of Kayaköy, the lagoon of Ölüdeniz and the islands of the bay can all be seen on one trip. The Lycian Way hiking trail also begins in this area.
