The Kasımiye Madrasa stands on a slope south of the old city, overlooking the Mesopotamian plain. With the pool in its courtyard, arched porticoes, stonework and the views from its terraces, it is one of Mardin's most striking buildings. It was completed in the Aq Qoyunlu period.
