Kırkağaç is a Manisa district on the İzmir–Bandırma railway, known as the 'Land of Melons' since melons are its most important crop. The remains of ancient Nakrasa and the Çiftehanlar Mosque are among its historic sites. After the Greek–Turkish population exchange, migrants from places such as Lesbos and Drama settled in the district.
