Akçakent

Akçakent lies in northern Kırşehir, 67 km from the provincial centre, on mountainous terrain. Founded in 1884 by Circassian migrants from the Caucasus, the settlement was first called Şehricedit, took the name Akçakent in 1965, and became a district in 1990.
