Kofçaz, in the north of Kırklareli province, marks Turkey's northernmost point and borders Bulgaria. It lies on wooded land at the foot of the Yıldız Mountains; the Kayalıköy Dam and Kiraz Hill, at 759 metres, are among its main natural features.
