Daday is a district in the forested terrain of the Köroğlu Mountains, in valleys formed by tributaries of the Gökırmak river, and is a member of the Cittaslow (slow city) network. The Balaban Mansion from 1632, the 18th-century Ali Paşa Mosque, and rock-cut tombs near İnciğez village are its historic sites; its local meat bread is well known.
