The Caucasus Front War History Museum occupies a restored fortification known as Kanlı Tabya (Bloody Fort). The building is one of 46 fortifications built in 1803 under Sultan Selim III; it took its name after a Russian night raid in 1828 killed every soldier stationed there. The museum's eight halls present interactive displays of events from 1828 up to the declaration of the Republic.
