The Galata Tower was built by the Genoese in the 14th century. It is also known for the legend of Hezarfen Ahmed Çelebi flying from here to Üsküdar. From the viewing terrace at the top, the Historic Peninsula, the Golden Horn and the Bosphorus are seen together.
