Excavations in Hatay began in 1932, and research carried out by Princeton University between 1932 and 1939 uncovered a rich collection of mosaics around Antakya and Harbiye as well as Narlıca, Güzelburç and Samandağ. Part of this collection is displayed at the Hatay City Museum. Visiting conditions may have changed since the 2023 earthquakes; check before you go.
