The new building, opened in 2014, houses around 120 mosaic panels along with statues, sarcophagi and a coin collection recovered from Antakya and the ancient cities around it; with 10,700 square metres of exhibition space, it is considered one of the world's largest mosaic display areas. The museum was partly damaged in the 2023 earthquakes, and some of its portable artefacts were temporarily moved to another museum. Visiting conditions may have changed since the 2023 earthquakes; check before you go.
