Seyitgazi is known for the Seyyid Battal Gazi Complex, built in 1207-1208 by Ümmühan Hatun, mother of the Seljuk sultan Alaeddin Keykubat I; the complex, with a mosque, tombs, a madrasa and a museum, stands in the town centre. Rock-cut works of the Phrygian Valley also lie within the district.
