Çimenlik Castle (Kale-i Sultaniye) and Naval Museum
A castle built for Fatih Sultan Mehmed at the strait's narrowest point, now home to the Naval Museum and the minelayer Nusret.

Built by Fatih Sultan Mehmed in 1461–1462 to secure the strait, the castle consists of a rectangular outer wall with a keep at its centre. It served as the headquarters of the Central Defence Group on 18 March 1915, and the breach opened that day in the north wall can still be seen. Used as the Naval Museum since 1982, the castle grounds include the inner keep, a replica of the minelayer Nusret and a garden section.
