Yenipazar, in the northeast of Bilecik province, sits at an average elevation of 617 metres. Once known as Kırka, the area passed through Hittite, Phrygian and Lydian rule before joining Ottoman territory in 1323; the İnkaya Cave, with a 40-metre-high chamber near Karahasanlar village, and the Yenipazar Canyon reaching towards the İnhisar border are its natural sites.
