Sındırgı, in the southeast of Balıkesir province on the old Balıkesir-İzmir road, has the 96°C Hisaralan hot springs and the Çaygören Dam as its natural sites. The 19th-century Koca Mosque (Şerif Paşa Mosque) with its adjoining bathhouse, and Yağcıbedir carpets, are among the district's well-known features.
