Karain Cave lies within the boundaries of Yağca village near the old Antalya-Burdur road, reached by a staircase of 470 steps. One of Turkey's largest natural caves, it was continuously occupied from the Lower Palaeolithic through the Classical period, leaving a cultural deposit around 11 metres deep. Finds from the excavations are displayed in the Antalya Museum and the adjacent Karain Museum; the cave has been on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List since 1994.
