Kahramankazan is a district in north-western Ankara, about 46 km from the city centre. Turkish Aerospace Industries' (TUSAŞ) F-16 production facility is here, and the district was renamed with the prefix 'Kahraman' (hero) in memory of civilians who died resisting the 2016 coup attempt at Mürted Air Base.
