Patnos

Patnos is a crossroads district where the roads linking Ağrı to Van, Muş and Bitlis meet; its Urartian-era name was Aladri. The district lies on a wide plain with views of Mount Süphan to the south, and an Urartian settlement stands on Anzavur Hill on the plain, though it is closed to visitors as a military area.
