Founded in 1933, the Afyonkarahisar Museum moved in 2023 from its old building in the city centre to a new one on the road to İzmir. Its collection includes Phrygian-period bronze fibulae and statues of Kybele recovered from Yazılıkaya, Phrygian statues dated to the 7th century BC, and Roman and Byzantine grave stelae and reliefs.
