Çelikhan is a mountainous district in the north-east of Adıyaman, on the border with Malatya, near Mount Akdağ (2,700 m) and the Çat Dam on the Abdulharap stream. Tobacco farming and beekeeping are the main livelihoods, and the district holds an annual honey festival.
